assets peaked and of course we have been rewarded with a great profit

A
few weeks back we suggested taking shorts in the Brazilian Real based
on the view that while Brazil has high interest rates it also has an
inverted yield curve which pointed to recession. Furthermore, we
expected a sell off in risk assets which of course has come and The
Real has fallen by nearly 10%, we have a great profit and expect a
rally and then lower prices.

Just
about everything we thought would happen recently has and now the
herd are in selling high risk currencies and boosting the Dollar and
sending and it looks like, the dollar has got a lot more upside.Furthermore, while investors see the current situation as grim, we still have the Euro fiscal crisis which will probaly cuase the biggest crisis in the global economy since WW2.

always amuses me when I see news wires state the obvious and there
all over the net today. China slowing up was obvious months ago and
even worse its not just slowing up, its days of big growth are over
and this means the Aussie Dollar will be hammered, by another 10 –
20 points on the downside...

Fed were due to do something today, as we said yesterday but the idea
of pushing down short term interest rates - is not going to help the
US economy and this means the Dollar will remain firm.
